As an International traveller
expectations around hospitality and comfort are
high. My recent stay along with friends, at George
House in Dildo, Newfoundland met every possible
expectation. The amenities cradled within the walls
of an historical building did not disappoint.
Sleeping accommodations were way above average and
enjoying a truly gourmet breakfast in a quaint
dining room was over the top. All this while you
take in the view of a quiet cove in Trinity Bay.
Todd, the owner is your host and if you fancy a
blueberry muffin or the best omelette, he is the
man. I would stay again and stay no where
else...thanks. Commissioner Brian Peddle, The Chief

"Very impressed!" November 2017 Rated 5
My man and I had such a lovely
time. The decor is extraordinary! Made us feel very
immersed and romantic. And Todd is a fantastic host!
We bought his cookbook before leaving; excited to
relive the memory as we use his recipes. Not to
mention the delicious gourmet breakfast in the
morning, you'll have to see for yourself! Would
absolutely stay again and have been recommending to
all my friends.

We stayed with Todd in his lovely
home September 27, 2017. The home itself is
cheerfully painted in the bright Newfoundland
colours and is beautifully situated on the top of a
hill overlooking the water. Several brightly
coloured Muskoka chairs are positioned to enjoy the
view.
Todd welcomed us by showing us our
room and explaining places to eat locally (not a lot
opened in September), ensuring we had no food
allergies or preferences for the next day breakfast
and letting us know there were libations in the
parlour for our enjoyment (nice touch).
Lots of little touches that make
this a 5 star B&B in my opinion. The bed was
very comfortable with lovely linens and down duvets,
spotlessly clean, the bathroom had lots of plush
towels, creams andd shampoos were top notch (loved
the quirky rubber ducky). Binoculars are everywhere
to watch the bay and hopefully spot some wildlife
and lots of homemade blankets to keep you warm while
sitting out and enjoying the view.
Now the best part, breakfast! We
woke to fresh baked croissants, muffins, biscuits
(to start), pressed coffee and juices. Breakfast was
a delicious omelet and sausage, presented to us
right down to elegantly cut fruit. You felt you were
at a 5 star restaurant. Todd managed to chat with us
all at breakfast while serving this feast and we
enjoyed very much.
Highly recommend!

Who doesn't love a rubber
ducky October 2017 Rated 5
Todd is a gracious host. We had eaten a late lunch
so we were offered cookies and fruit and a choice of
drink. We enjoyed relaxing in the front room with a
beautiful view of the harbor. Lots of books not
enough time.
This house is full of all kinds of
special extras. Pictures in the hall of the original
owners. Antiques are tastefully displayed. Our room
was amazing. Thick feather duvet and comfortable
bed. The best thing for me was the soaker bathtub
with rubber ducky. No 5 star hotel has anything on
the way this bathroom is set up. Turndown service
with chocolates and treats.
The next day we woke up to the
smell of freshly baking muffins. Breakfast was
homebaked muffins, croissants, sausage,
omelet, fruit, smoked salmon with cream cheese. Then
after all this Todd sent us on our way with
homebaked cookies. Than you Todd for all you do to
make each of us feel special.

We had a wonderful time at George
House. The owner, Todd, is warm and welcoming. He
provided thoughtful touches throughout our stay
including homemade road snacks (cookies!) for our
day trips. The breakfast was delicious - Todd is an
excellent cook and really cares about the quality of
the food he provides. The house is beautiful and well
cared for with cheerful, tasteful decor and comfy
main rooms. Our first day was rainy and it was
lovely to curl up in the main sitting room at the
end of the day. I would highly recommend this B and
B. We'll be back!

We spent 2 nights here and loved it. Bedroom and
bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was excellent
and we ate enough to carry us for many hours as we
explored the area. Sitting in Adirondack chairs and
watching the sun set over the bay was priceless. Who
doesn't like starting the day with a Mimosa and
ending it with a glass of Screech... compliments of
Todd--the best host ever.

Stayed one night for a wedding in the area. Had a
very enjoyable stay with comfortable bed and great
breakfast! Todd was very welcoming and
accommodating! Would highly recommend! When we
checked out, he even had some home made cookies
packed for us!
